Professor Nutt will just not go away. He now reckons that alcohol prices should be tripled. Yes tripled!!! Apparently this would stop young people drinking and save us all from alcohol related problems.

I have a simple message from the majority of the population, who actually enjoy a drink, to Nutt Job – Go F**k Yourself Moron!

Are we not taxed enough on booze? If I suffer later in life and have to use the NHS because of my drinking, guess what? I’ve bloody well paid for it through the tax on my beer each and every time I buy a pint.

Tripling the price on alcohol will send just about every pub and club out of business, less revenue will be made for the tax office, other taxes will have to rise to cover the shortfall and thousands of people will join the dole queue for which taxes will have to rise to cover this additional cost.

Do you really think this person should be taken seriously?

I don’t usually agree with the Government and especially not with that moron Alan Johnson BUT he was so right to get rid of Professor Nutt.

Nutt’s statement was totally irresponsible and basically gave the green light for hundreds of youngsters to start doing drugs because it’s not that bad. Wrong message arsehole! Factually right or wrong has nothing to do with it. I have had people have a go a me for drinking too much while they roll another spliff and now they have a champion in David Nutt.

The Government will NOT legalise drugs and ban smoking and booze so why mention what he did. Everyone wants their 15 minutes!

Tax on Booze

The Scottish Government have outlined plans to ban special offers on alcohol sales. They plan to bring in a minimum sales price per unit to help people with a drinking problem.

Now, I don’t live in Scotland but I am sure if this doesn’t cause a huge problem it will be brought into England and Wales pretty soon.

I enjoy a drink, sometimes I enjoy a large drink, but recently with the price increases of alcohol in Pubs and the Credit Crunch, I have taken to having a drink at home. The Beer from my local supermarket is reasonably priced and I can afford it. So why the hell should I be punished for people who have a problem. What the f**k have I done to deserve this.

This is nothing short of a new stealth tax. If you doubled the price of drugs would it help the problem – of course not. People in power need to understand that it is them who have driven us all to drink in the first place and we can’t afford to go out anymore, we can’t afford to do anything else, so we stay at home with a drink, hurting nobody, but because of a tiny minority with a problem the silent majority are yet again going to pay.

Here is a newsflash for those squares in power – I drink more than 10 units a week, sometimes I get a bit drunk – the only drink problem I have is when the bloody bar shuts at 11pm or my money runs out. You guys need to get out more because this is NORMAL behaviour.
